N.C. Insurance Department reaches settlement with S.C. companies (WNCT Greenville)
(AP) - The North Carolina Department of Insurance has reached settlements with three South Carolina companies after investigators looked into allegations that they had charged consumers without their knowledge.
S.C. insurance companies hit with record penalty (The News & Observer)
They were ordered to pay a joint penalty of $375,000, which Insurance Department officials said was the largest ever assessed in the Agent Services Division.
